zine,
This week's FAUX-BROW SHOWCASE Features:

#97: objects du'fart

#77: dystopian force

WELCOME TO FAUXBROW

Fauxbrow (pronounced fo-brow) is a term amalgamated from the newbrow art movement of today and the fauve painting movement of one hundred years ago. Both movements have in common a forward-looking idealism and a tendency toward revolutionary style. Both movements have at their center a respect for nature and a distrust for the prevailing trends of crass commercialism.

Fauxbrow is inspired by an endless barrage of miraculous phenomenon, but mainly it's like this:

Richard Brautigan meets ee cummings, with touches of Neruda, Merwin, Emily Dickinson, Lester Bangs, Bukowski, Berryman, and Ted Geisel.

And, a tip of the hat to Gauguin, Nietzche, Dylan, Serling, Dyer-Bennet, Kupferberg, Gevanter, Huberman, Cerio, Tompkins, Doucet, Rethorn, and Rexroth.

Be forewarned if you choose to continue, the choice to continue is YOURS.

"Noone Sees" video - words by KC Wilder, music by Anthony Sepulveda and Alla, ©2008 Fauxbrow Guerilla Films.
