a deep sea diver who's emerged from a foaming sea of dreams …
feeling not quite well upon this oceangoing chariot,
nauseous and bent over in a momentary swoon …
holding up a hammer by the mainsail, i am jittery
nailing down a concept of the utterly unknowable.
how do i interpret all the nastiness around me?
upset hands are grumbling the ship is going down.
shadowed by godzilla monster
sharks from here to shores unnamed,
fearful and unsure, the captain's flipping out
it seems, his first mate who's doused in twilight
sayeth he will do no more railing against neptune …
pelted by continuously dreary sheets of wind and rain,
the storms are never-ending in the moonlit quarters of my brain.

Download the song, "Like Paul Gauguin" - paul gauguin in ze 21st century- he came back - stuck his head in a long island diner - the door shut real fast and his head was crushed - it fell off his body completely - he looked up and said something in French i couldn't understand i found oot later all he said was "what am i doing on long island?"
